In 1993, Chiranjib has been awarded National Scholarship from
Govt. of India in Khayal (classical vocal music). He was also
awarded by West Bengal State Music Academy,India, in 1987,1992
and 1993 respectively for Dhrupad, dhamar (the two most renowned
and encient form of classical vocal music) and Khayal.
He remained a regular artist of All India Radio.
In 1997, he toured all over UK first time and later he was
invited by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan as a Summer School Teacher
for both Vocal Classical and Bengali Music Department, In
1998 and at the same time he extensively toured all over UK
once again.
During 1998/99, he performed twice at Haridas Sangeet Sammelon,
Kolkata, India. He also brilliantly performed in "Young
Talents Conference", organised by State Music Academy
of West Bengal by 1998.
He performed at Shrutinandan's concert during 1999, in the
memory of Late Pandit Gyan Prakash Ghosh and at the same time
he has been invited to perform at Dover Lane Music Conference
(periodical).
In 2000, he performed at Millenium Festival, organised by
Shova Bazar Sangeet Sammelon, Kolkata.
Chiranjib extensively toured all over France (Tour, Toulouse,
Mulhouse, Lyon and Paris) in 2001. At the same time he also
performed as an only Indian Vocalist in the whole night Indian
Classical Music Concert first time at Paris. He has also been
invited in Merseille (Southern France) in 2002.
Released two cd's from Beethoven Records in the year of 2001
and 2002.
Under Asian Music Circuit, he performed at Dundee, Scotland,
as well as he remained a vocalist in the musical dance production,
"Tarang", which took place at Queen Elizabeth Hall,
London, in 2001.
He remained attached with the fusion group, "Shivanova"
as a vocalist and toured all over Britain in 2001 and '02
and at the same time he has been invited to performed in the
classical concert in Kolkata which was in memory of Late Pandit
radhika Mohan Maitrya, organised by Pandit Buddhadev dasgupta,
the eminent Musician of India in 2002.
Very recently he has performed Indian Classical Music in collaboration
with Tagore Music combining with Sarod (Indian classical instrument)
in Muswell Hill Music Festival, who organised Indian music
first time ever in Britain after 25 years.
